Värmland County Administrative Board
The County Administrative Board is the link between the Riksdag (Swedish parliament), the government and Värmland. Its job is to ensure that targets are met in a range of different political areas, while at the same time taking into account the conditions in the county. The county administrative board is working to create a society sustainable in the long term for current and future generations of people in Värmland.
Värmland’s county governor is Eva Eriksson, who took over the position in 2004.
The county administrative board deals with issues spanning the entire society. Its operations include disaster management and rescue services, animal protection and veterinary issues, fishing, equality, cultural environment, agriculture, food control, nature conservation and environmental protection, international relations, integration, sustainable social planning and social issues.
Värmland County Administrative Board employs more than 200 staff.
