Business networks

Being part of a network is valuable in many ways. What it gives you as an entrepreneur and as a person is very much up to you. The foundation of any network is that you should give back to it many times over in the form of business contacts, knowledge, support and ideas.

Some networks grow up out of informal meetings, while others are more organised and run by stakeholder or industry organisations. There are networks aimed at specific target groups; such as new entrepreneurs, women only, bosses and managers, young entrepreneurs or people in rural areas.

There's a lot of variety as regards activities, but breakfast meetings, seminars, evening meetings and collective study visits are common. The Chamber of Commerce also has what are known as strategy and experience groups which act as a forum for the exchange of business ideas for various target groups.
