Bergsskolan in Filipstad

Run in the form of a foundation, and since starting in 1830 this college has worked in close cooperation with companies in the steel and metal industries, as well as the mining, industrial mineral, rock and construction industries. Bergsskolan maintains cooperation agreements and has established cooperations with Högskolan Dalarna and the Universities of Gothenburg, Karlstad and Luleå.

Courses focusing on the steel, metal and engineering industries take place in close cooperation with companies in the region and the region's cluster organisation "Stål&Verkstad". The rock-specific courses take place in cooperation with Sweden's major mining and mineral companies and various industry organisations.
