Labour market training

Labour market training is vocational training which aims to make it easier for people to find or keep a job and is designed to prevent a shortage of labour on the market.

The primary target group is people who've been looking for work over a fairly long period of time and so are also taking part in either the guaranteed work scheme for young people or the guaranteed work and development scheme. This is the order of priority applicable at present (spring 2011), but this may change quickly depending on how the economic situation develops.

Following a decision from the local Public Employment Service, people looking for work have the opportunity to benefit from all labour market training courses in Sweden.
