Municipal adult education/Vocational adult education

Municipal adult education focuses on basic and upper secondary education for adults. It has its own curriculum, and municipal adult education aims to provide education to adults who don't have an education equivalent to primary, lower secondary or upper secondary level.

Essentially, adult education is intended to complement upper secondary education that people failed to complete, but it can also be a way for adults with no upper secondary education at all to complete their education at this level.

People have the opportunity to do both a foundation course for upper secondary education and upper secondary vocational education. Anyone studying as part of a municipal adult education course will receive an individual study plan compiled in connection with their acceptance and in cooperation with the person studying.
