Balance between work and family life
Christian Edwertz reckons Värmland is the perfect place to create a balance between career and family. He came here to play floorball and study economics at the university at the age of 23.

"I really liked the people of Värmland," says Christian Edwertz. "Live was simpler here. There was a lovely atmosphere, and I encountered a flexibility which suited me."
His studies involved a short period of practical experience.
"When my ten days were up, I didn't go back to college. I carried on working instead. I got a permanent job and was able to help build up the company's web department."
After this first job, he spent a time running a company of his own together with a partner and worked as a reporter on a daily newspaper. Then he worked as a project manager in the public sector before returning to the IT industry.
"I've had some fantastic bosses at all the places where I've worked," he says. "I've had lots of opportunities for development."
Now he spends much of his time in central Karlstad and lives in Sundsta, works as a strategist at the Ord&Bild advertising agency in Älvgatan and takes his daughter to nursery in Herrhagen. This simplicity isn't something he ever wants to give up.
"I can cycle from home, drop my daughter off at nursery and then get to work in three songs on my iPhone!"
