Per Gustafsson never regretted his decision to apply for his dream course at Broby Grafiska.

The experiment workshop that poses a challenge

Broby Grafiska has grown enormously over the past few years. This college, which previously offered upper secondary level courses only, has now been developed into a College of Cross Media.

Nowadays Broby Grafiska offers everything from upper secondary level courses in graphic production and design to higher vocational courses in script authoring, health therapy and graphic media production. One of the latest courses to be added is Cross Media Creator, a year full of challenges and experiments in the fields of conceptualising and ideas.

"I wanted to develop my knowledge and turn theory into practice. To get a realistic perspective on things, quite simply. This year has really taken me to a new level," says Ida Tengroth, one of this year's eight students on the Cross Media Creator course.

Another non-local who applied to Sunne and Broby Grafiska is Per Gustafsson of Falköping. Recommendations from friends who'd been at the college previously made him summon up his courage to apply for the higher vocational course Graphic media production, majoring in the Web.

"I've always been really creative and messed around with design and all that, but I've never done any kind of upper secondary media course. I started working in the industry instead."

He's never regretted his decision to change direction and finally apply for his dream course. "The nicest thing about this course is the fact that it's so independent and that the students have plenty of opportunity to influence its content," he reckons. The projects are often "cutting edge"; that is to say, they involve real tasks for real companies.
Today, Per and his group will be presenting a campaign with an associated graphic profile for a real customer, but he's not in the slightest bit nervous about it.

"It's great fun, and we don't compete amongst ourselves in our class. This is one of the really great things about this college, too – you get to know most people and there's a really cool atmosphere here."
