Things to do
You're welcome to take part in everything which Värmland has to offer.
You're visiting a place full of adventure, challenges and lots of fun activities. At times, the country is so beautiful that it'll take your breath away. It's never far away and always readily accessible no matter where you are.
Värmland is also a cultural landscape, characterised by storytellers and artists who've lived and worked here for several hundred years. This rich storytelling tradition lives on. And you can become part of it by visiting museums, craftsmen, plays and concerts.
"Popular festival" doesn't really cover the fantastic atmosphere that prevails when we invite the world to our events – winter rallying, Ski Cross World Cup, Ransätersstämman, the Arvika Festival or the finals in the ice hockey elite series. We'd love to you be our guest!
Shopping is also pretty high up on the agenda. Värmland is full of great places with shops offering a personal service, and you'll also find a number of large shopping centres here offering a wide range of goods. You can also discover new-old shopping in rural areas, with farm shops, antique shops, curio shops and shops selling world class handicrafts.
